A. A child is generally ready for martial arts study when he or she:

Q. How will my child move thru the different levels of training?

A. Our belt promotion system is based on the principle of steady consistent improvement by goal setting.

  • Together we will develop a plan
  • Your child will have fun and work hard towards achieving the goal
  • Persevere until the goal is reached
  • Together, we will set an even higher goal

Q. How will my child know of their progress?

A. We tell them! We tell you! Small children can't just look at the change in their body mechanics and know they've made progress -- they need verbal acknowledgement of their progress and success. In addition, we utilize familiar martial arts items to reinforce their progress and success.

  • Achievement Stripes
  • At home wall chart
  • Colored Belts
  • Patches

The 'JuJitsu Cubs' Program

Dear Parent,

The fact that you are reading this tells me you want the very best for your child. As a parent of a young child, I know how difficult it is to find quality and reasonable priced extra-curricula activity during those after school hours: where your child can enjoy a fun, safe, and structured program promoting physical fitness, self-confidence, discipline, manners and self-esteem.

Worry no more! You and your child can enjoy the above at Vee Arnis JuJitsu by participating in the ‘JuJitsu Cubs‘ program held Tuesday‘s and Thursday‘s at 1 p.m. This program is for children ages 4 thru 5.

At our after school program ‘JuJitsu Cubs’ you have the option of participating with your child during the instructional session to help foster fitness, sportsmanship, sociability and family. But that's just the beginning.

Your child will also improve in the areas of:

  • Better manners
  • Concentration and focus
  • Goal setting skills
  • Improved behavior
  • Leadership skills
  • Physical activity
  • Self control & discipline
  • Teamwork
  • Time-management skills

I welcome you to visit our school located at 920 Broadway, Bayonne NJ 07002 to observe our JuJitsu Cubs program.

Thank you kindly,

George D. Richie Jr.

Chief Instructor
